- David Retired (66)
Hello from Canberra voted the the most liveable city in Australia 2014 and again in 2015
We have been retired for 8 years now and travel extensively in both Australia and Europe every year.
We completed in excess of 15 exchanges while living in Sydney and now want to tempt you to visit the beautiful city of Canberra, the National Capital, where we now live.
Our main interests, besides travelling, are dining out and experiencing new foods, music, long walks, friends, theatre, concerts and curling up with a great book.

We had a fabulous time in Christine and David's beautiful home. It offers all the mod cons and is extremely warm and welcoming. It is basically located right in the centre of Canberra city which means we didn't need to use our car very much at all. It is only a short walk to Commonwealth Park and the Canberra Theatre and sits right behind the National Convention Centre. It has amazing views of the Brindabellas which are even more fabulous when covered in snow. The apartment is in Glebe Park and surrounded by lots of lovely trees and parkland so very quite. You can see Parliament House, Questacon and the National Library from the balcony and it is quite a treat to have seen several lovely hot air balloons fly by. We would definitely recommend Christine and David as excellent exchange partners and hope one day to exchange with them again.
We had a wonderful stay at Kim and John's Gold Coast apartment June 2014. The apartment is right on the beach (you walk out the back door and can feel the sand in your toes) located between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise, minutes from shops, restaurants and great coffee. The apartment has amazing views to the water and up to Surfers Paradise, is beautifully set out and extremely comfortable, complete with communal pools, gymnasium, tennis courts and BBQ areas. We can highly recommend an exchange with Kim and John and hope we can do so again in the future.
