- George business coach (55)
- Michele body therapist (53)
Hi, would you like to visit historic Edinburgh?
We are young fifty-somethings who have kicked out our 3 boys and have bought this home for ourselves. Michele is a complementary therapist and George is a executive coach. We both love to walk and explore, drink red wine, and sample great food.. We would prefer the countryside to the city. If you think you might have something to offer please let us know.

Living in this city we have access to literally thousands of cultural events and all the bars and shopping you could ever want so when on holiday we prefer some place in the countryside where we can chill and enjoy nature. Hiking, beach walking and exploring beautiful towns are favourite activities when we are away. We also enjoy good food so it's nice to have some quality restaurants and a well kitted kitchen to prepare our own.
We had an absolutely delightful exchange with George and Michele that went like clockwork. We found their apartment to be luxurious and spacious and incredibly well situated with all the pleasures of Edinburgh just a short walk away across the park. Local shopping virtually on the doorstep was also a real treat with real proper old fashioned butchers and bakers and fishmonger and so on and so on. Highly recommended as a couple to exchange with and as a destination, couldn't ask for more!
We had a lovely time in this exceptional home. Everything is so beautiful, from the furniture to the numerous exotic objects which make this apartment so cosy that you just feel like staying at home all the time. The neighbourhood is very peaceful but there are also lots of shops and pubs at walking distance and walking to the Old Town only takes a few minutes through the park just around the corner which is also a lovely place to go for a walk, read or play a free game of golf. Michele and George gave us the most useful advice and addresses to help us make the best of our stay in Edinburgh. They also took great care of our house, garden and pool and when we came home we found everything in perfect condition. Exchanging with Michele and George has been a great pleasure and we strongly recommend an exchange with them.
We had a wonderful time in Reunion. This island has so much to offer, from the savage volcanic coastlines to the dreamy lagoon in l'etang; the dramatic cirques, and lush forest. It's a haven for walkers and thrill seekers as well as those who just want to chill. This villa is in a lovely little residential area, very quiet, very airy and comfortable. We loved having breakfast by the pool and dinner on the front patio. We could not have been more at home. The location is ideal for an evening wander to the lagoon or beach for a swim and to watch the sunset, and also ideally located to jump in the car and tour the island. The island is quite an adventure and Jean Marie & Maria made us feel very welcome, answered all our questions and left us well prepared to go exploring. Upon our return our home was immaculate and had clearly been cared for. We would thoroughly recommend an exchange with Jean-Marie and Maria.
The flat was spacious, comfortable and warm (the wood-burning stove was fantastic), with an appreciated family atmosphere. We liked the location very much, in a pleasant and convenient area, with useful shops and restaurants nearby. It was 10 minutes walk into the centre of Edinburgh, which is an immensely interesting place to walk around. The family kindly allowed us to use their second car, which meant we could also do a trip up the cost to St Andrews. They left us lots of good tips for what to see in the city. Arrangements went very smoothly, and our house in Oxford was left in a very good state.
