Looking forward to another exchange!
My husband and I are retired and in our early 60s.. We love our home and enjoy entertaining friends and family here. We are responsible and careful homeowners and would treat your home like our own. We like to travel to the U.S, Europe and particularly to Sydney Australia. We had a wonderful first exchange experience in England in the summer of 2013. We enjoy gardening, cycling, exercising, movies, walking, concerts, cultural events, and being in sunny or summer climates.
We may be joined by another adult couple for a period of time during the exchange.
January 1 — March 31, 2016
Tentatively interested in a 1-2 month exchange in or around Sydney or Southern Highlands in early 2016.
We like to relax but are up for touring and visiting local attractions, the museums and galleries and are comfortable in big cities and small villages alike. We like the theatre and concerts and lots of walking. We enjoy great food so restaurants and markets are of interest too. We like beaches but are fine in a city. We make the most of whatever location we are in.
We had a marvellous time at Gene and Carolines lovely home in Victoria. Their home is spacious, very tasteful, clean and in the nicest neighbourhood with nearby walks and shops. Everything was ready for our arrival; the house was prepared with careful thought, including a lovely welcoming bottle of wine. We felt comfortable and relaxed from day one. Victoria is a great small city and we found plenty to see and do close by and on our road trip to Tofino - beautiful coastline, countryside, art, great people and good food. We would definiately return. Gene and Caroline were great house guests - everything at home was perfect for our return. Caroline had even shopped for food and flowers! We were lucky enough to meet each other in the UK before and after our travels - special people and a special thank you from us.
My husband and I had a lovely three-week stay in Sian and Jon's beautiful home in Cumbria. The outdoor area was very comfortable and tranquil. Sheep pastures right up to the fence which was a great view particularly from the dining room. We enjoyed a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Super vehicle to drive and good area information left by the homeowners. Close to Carlisle and the Lake District plus we were able to easily enjoy trips to Glasgow and Edinburgh by train. Beautiful, delightful, countryside stay in Cumbria. And thanks to Jon and Sian for being the perfect house guests in our home in Canada.
