Ciao from the lakes region!
Our family consists of 4 people.
Fabio is fond of motorcycles. Cristina loves reading. Federico is 12 and goes to school, he is fond of Lego and of drawing. Matilde is 9 and also goes to school, she likes working in the garden and being creative.
We are non smokers and have no pets. Cristina has a severe allergy to cats, sorry we cannot exchange with homes where these wonderful animals live indoors (outdoors is fine, we can take care of your cats, we already did it several times).
We are experienced home exchangers and are respectful of other people's property. We keep much pride in keeping our house clean and tidy and we would like to exchange with people who are the same.
Least but not last, we are very fond of toys (Lego and Playmobil especially), so families with children are very welcome :-)
August 1 — August 31, 2016 These dates are flexible
A non simultaneous exchange is possible. The dates of our interest are: 1-13 August 2016.
We love to visit towns with history and to see beautiful landscapes. Since we travel with our children, we are always open for suggestions for activities they may enjoy.
we spent 2 weeks during 2010 's summer in Fonteno, a small and quiet rural village above the lake of Iseo. The house of Cristina and Fabio is comfortable, quiet and very well located. It offers unforgettable view on the lake. The fact that the house has no direct access by car was absolutely not a problem for us. From Fonteno, we can reach easily small villages as Lovere, Iseo, sarnico and of course visited Bergame (wonderful old town). Then don't hesitate!! try it!
We spent the first two weeks of August 2010 in Le Havre in Sylvie and Pascal's beautiful home. The house is centrally located and near the beach, shops and restaurants. Le Havre was quite a surprise, we had expected a big industrial town; on the contrary, it is a very pleasant and stimulating city to live in, with many opportunities and things to see, for both adults and children. The area around Le Havre is so well known that there is little to add: Etretat, Fecamp, Harville, Honfleur, Bayeux, the alabaster coast, the D-Day beaches... or simply relax on the beautiful beach of Le Havre. The house is perfectly situated near the town centre, extremely easy to reach. We found it very confortable with every possible accessories left at our disposal so we really enjoyed this holiday. We would warmly recommend this home to eveybody.
Alessandr, Lorena e Nicola
Lorena and Alessandro's flat is located on the second row to the beach, you just need to cross one road and you are straight on the beach. The place is half way between Fano and Senigallia, so that in less than 20 minutes you can reach both towns, which have the usual (very) high touristic standards of the Adriatic sea, with plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do. The restaurants, trattoria and pizzeria are excellent in the area with good value pricing. Fano is not only sea and beach! Do not miss visiting Urbino, San Marino, Gradara and many other smaller villages of Marche and Romagna. For the children there are several theme parks at easy reach. Thanks for the hospitality!
In the past autumn we spent some days in Fonteno at Fabio's and Cristina's home and it has been a very fine experience, experience that we strongly reccomand to everybody. The view of the lake is simply fantastic, the people very bending and, at least in the good season, beautiful excusions are possible. Fabio's and Cristina's home is very fine, perfectly capable to housing for seven-eight people or even more... Daria and Carlo
We visited Fonteno in end of May 2011 for a week of vacation. Cristina met us personally in Fonteno for a warm welcome. She showed us the really large house which is newly renovated and nicely furnitured. She had prepared an information map with anything you can think of: restaurants, sightseeing tips and detailed information of all house supplies like gas, water and electricity. Perfect! She even prepared some tickets for Gardaland and maps of the lake and the area around. Fonteno is located on the hillside facing Lago di Iseo. The view from the terrace and especially the master bedroom balconee is fantastic. The kitchen / living room is downstairs with a fireplace and a terrace where we had breakfast in the sun with lake view. The neighbours are very nice and open and we had contact to them very easily with the typical Italian warmth and openness. There are two stores in Fontento where you cab buy everything for your daily needs, but there are larger stores in the cities around the lake not far to go. The lake is a touristic area but mainly for Italians - so Italian menu cards and typical Italian menus are standard. It is so lovely around the lake with many restaurants and cafes. Bergamo, Brescia, Milano and Lago di Garda are just a few miles away and easy to reach. The airport in Bergamo is one of the destinations connected by RyanAir e.g., so cheap flights are available. The contact to Cristina and Fabio was very open and positive and we really enjoyed the contact with them and the stay in their lovely house. We will definitely come back to Fonteno/Lago di Iseo! Thx to Cristina and Fabio for their overwhelming hospitality Alex&Achim
Thanks a lot to Francis for having given us the chance of spending a wonderful winter holiday in Samoens. The house is tidy, confortable, well equipped, located near the center of the village, and everything can be reached on foot. The contact with Francis has been friendly. We enjoyed very much the charm of this village and of the surrounding mountains. It was a perfect exchange!
Marina, Giovanni , Alessandra e Chiara.
