- Peter Retired (67)
G'day from "Down Under"
My name is Sue and my husband Peter and I are semi- retired. We are originally from Auckland, New Zealand, but have lived in Sydney since 1980.
We have lived in our Queenscliff apartment, overlooking Manly Beach, for the last 11 years. We love the Sydney Northern Beaches lifestyle.
We enjoy travelling and we have had 15 home exchanges so far, to France, Spain, Germany, the UK, Hawaii, San Francisco, Singapore, Canada and to Victoria (Australia) - all very different and all very successful.
We are keen to continue with our travels, particularly in the Northern Hemisphere and are always willing to consider new opportunities.

My husband Peter was a rugby union player in his youth and also my son. We are quite passionate about the All Blacks and will go anywhere to support them especially during World Cup time.
A very cosy apartment in very convenient location: walk to 2 beaches, cafe on one corner for morning coffee and another close by for a casual dinner. Very nice terrace and view! We spent a week here in Feb14 after communicating via email and skype to lock details. Everything worked out as planned. Highly recommended exchange - we would definitely go back :)
What a great exchange with Sue and Peter! We felt like home the minute we got in the condo. So helpful to be greeted by Anna who pîcked us up at the wharf. What a treat to feed the lorikeet in the morning and enjoy the great view of the beach.Walking or taking the bus to the wharf daily made us feel like locals. What a beautiful scenery entering the Bay of Sydney each morning passing between the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We also appreciated having a nice car to travel around and flying to the Coast was so easy with Virgin. There is so much to do in Sydney and to see in Australia! We highly recommend that place.
We had a great time in Montréal during our stay in Lise & Camil's 24th floor apartment in Plateau Mont-Royal. This is such a fantastic location overlooking the Parc Lafontaine and with great views over the entire city. We were able to walk everywhere as the city is quite flat and we were only a 10 to 15 minute stroll across the park to the St Denis area where there are many exciting restaurants, bistros and cafés. This became our favourite area as the shopping was great too. The apartment itself is large and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and we felt very much at home there. Montréal is also a great base for side trips to Ottawa, Québec and the Laurentians and we are very pleased to say we did it all. Highly recommended.
A wonderful location in Manly, Queenscliff area where you could walk 5 minutes to one beach or 5 minutes to another. The Apartment was well appointed with a beautiful sundeck with views of Manly's main beach. Peter and Sue provided us with food and drink to get us started and all house systems were ideally laid out and explained. We toured most of the East Coast of Australia and Manly was probably our favourite location. Ideal mix of city and yet tranquil. Peter and Sue were ideal guests in our home leaving everything clean and tidy.
We spent two weeks in Oak Bay on Vancouver Island at Colin & Lesley's home. They were fantastic hosts. Colin met us at the ferry terminal on our arrival and he and Lesley made sure we were comfortable and all our questions answered before they left. During the latter part of our stay we spent a day at the lake with them, where we dined on a salmon Colin had caught and enjoyed a trip in their boat. As it was summer during our stay and the weather was mild, we walked along the coastline most mornings and even fed the wild seals at the marina. Vancouver Island is a truly beautiful place and this exchange was one we won't forget.
