We loved staying at Villa Tymnessos. The house is very comfortable and offer an incredible view on the mediterranean sea. Kalkan is a very nice village with lot of shops and very good restaurants. Two of the most beautiful beaches of this coast are very close (Kaputas and Patara). But you can also enjoy the Kalamar Beach Club (5 minutes) or Kalkan Beach (10 minutes). Days can be very hot in summer (we went there in August) but hopefully the house is fully air conditioned. Everything was as we expected ! Planning this trip with Morgan and Sean was very simple and easy. We had the pleasure to have lunch all together in France and I am sure we will stay in touch !

What we said about Delphine & Laurent's house:

We had an absolutely incredible home exchange at gorgeous La Florentinière. Delphine and Laurent were both easy to work with and were very accommodating as we made travel arrangements, and we were very fortunate to have lunch with them and their four beautiful daughters at La Florentinière on our arrival. La Florentinière is an amazing home that oozes character and charm, but yet has a decidedly relaxed and comfortable feel that we found to be absolutely perfect for us. The property is large and includes a wooded area, a large grassed lawn in the rear, and a shaded lawn in the front of the property which is perfect for enjoying meals and offers views across the adjourning field and the stables. Rugby, the fun-loving dog, and the two cats were easy pets to look after and our 2-year old son fed the 4 horses with much excitement each afternoon. There is also an enclosed pool which is large enough to swim laps, and a trampoline which kept our family entertained most afternoons. The entire property is walled, so it is completely private. The local village, Chiteney, is a short walk or bicycle ride from the house and is small and charming and services include a local tabac, a patisserie, and a wonderful auberge that we thoroughly recommend for a memorable meal. The village is surrounded by vineyards, fields of sunflowers and wheat, and several good wine tasting options are readily available. Blois is a 15 minute drive through several small villages and a forest and offers exceptional dining options, quaint pedestrianized streets, loads of interesting sites, and is the gateway to larger cities such as Tours and Orleans. We visited in late-July and the weather was perfect. Even though our French vocabulary was limited, we found everyone to be very friendly and helpful making for a very memorable holiday. If you want an authentic French experience in the Loire Valley, we recommend that you contact Delphine and Laurent.

April 2011 We stayed Kalkan after an exciting and busy visit in Istanbul. It was wonderful to relax and unwind in Morgan and Sean's clean and spacious villa. We enjoyed having a car and took advantage of the many easy excursions that that were in the area. When we were not on the move we couldn't get enough of the spectacular view that their villa offers!! Sean's enthusiasm for Turkey is contagious and he was a great resource in planning our trip! We highly recommend Kalkan, the villa and the the Turquoise Coast as a lovely exchange destination and we kindly thank Morgan and Sean for making our exchange so successful. We have finally done our home exchange with Sean & Morgan! They came to our place in Hong Kong about 2 years ago but we never had time to get to Turkey. What a wonderful place!!! They say it's a village but we call that a good size town, a very nice town with lots to do and see and tons of very good restaurants. The villa is gorgeous with amazing views. Every single morning we would open the patio doors to our bedroom with the view onto the Mediterranean sea and just lie there and admire the view. The villa is very comfortable and has 6 or 7 balconies including the roof top patio where we would watch the sunset from every evening. We thought there would not be much to visit around the area but were pleasantly surprised when we rented a Jeep to explore and found the amazing Saklikent Gorge, the ruins and coliseum of Xantos (UNESCO world heritage site) and Patara beach just 15 minutes away! We will definitely be back to visit more of Turkey soon! Thank you Sean and Morgan for a wonderful stay. Perry, Isabel & Havana

What we said about Sylvie et Daniel's house:

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Sylvie and Daniel’s charming and comfortable home in Luberon. The house has loads of character and has been tastefully and carefully refurbished offering all the modern amenities and was large enough to easily accommodated our group of 5. The terrace views across the hills and valleys to Roussillon were the perfect start to every day. The house offered a large play room and many toys for our boys, and the petanque court and large garden gave everyone space and kept us all entertained. There were also some very nice walking trails into the hills and vineyards from the house. When we did leave the house, we enjoyed the picturesque villages of Saint Saturnin (which, in addition to offering wonderful boulangeries and wine and cheese shops, also has a great community pool and soccer field), Gordes and Roussillon. We also had the good fortune of celebrate Bastille Day here and enjoyed fireworks at both Gargas and Apt. Sylvie was incredibly helpful and checked in with us during our stay and we cannot thank them enough for their warm hospitality.
