Wonderful, very unique old house with a lovely garden and pool-area. Very nice surroundings in the midst of a small village - pretty slow in the village in august thow - but close to Lyon. Around the village are lovely nature areas for walking and the Chatreuse area is only one hour away. We had a lovely stay Rafael
We already stayed twice at La Tour du Pin and we really enjoyed the house, the garden and pool. As we have family in the city we preferred exchanged in order have a place only for us. The house style is very nice and we had a lot of bedrooms to host some cousins that came to visit us. We could make barbecues to welcome some friends, do pool party during the day and at night we could have tranquility to have a good night sleep. Yes, we will come back and we appreciate the house owners that made us feel like we were at our home.
After their stays - Betty & Pierre became friends and we hope to visit them in Brazil
Nathalie & Philippe's house outside Lyon is superb! We are experienced Home Exchangers (7 times) and want to recommend their home most highly. They are a very friendly family - in fact, through Home Exchange our daughters have become student exchangers too, so we can write about their home because of several visits. It is a large, generous home, in a lovely area. The rooms are light and elegant, and every convenience is in the kitchen - Nathalie is a fantastic cook, so you will find everything you need! As well as being so comfortable and well-equipped, everything in their home is kept clean and fresh - the pool and outside areas are pristine also. This is extremely important to us - Irish home owners are as fussy as Americans! This is a lovely area of France - we have also been to Provence, Nimes, Toulouse, Besancon - and would definitely say that the Lyon area offers a huge amount to see. We love being in the countryside - the house is surrounded by a lovely garden and trees, and it is very peaceful. There is a train that runs nearby, but is hardly noticeable, and
our daughter and son stayed at Gina's house several times. They really envoy staying with that friendly family and go around Dublin !
Staying at the Coquet family house was definitely an adventure for us. The house and the story behind it was very interesting. We really enjoyed our 14 day stay in the summer of 2013. The garden was lovely and we loved eating our breakfast and dinner in this historical garden. (If i remember correctly it had an over 200 year old tree) The swimming pool was great and our family really enjoyed it. We were a family of 7 during this trip and everybody could find something to do such as just lay on the benches in the sun while taking a dip in the pool. The town Tour du Pin was great and we took a lot of walks around enjoying the scenery. It was a short walk to the bakery and the butcher. Overall we could not had imagined a better place to stay and we really thank the Coquet family for letting us stay there making it feel like a home away from home.
We are experienced exchanger (more than 10) - We were very satisfied by this exchange in Icelland at Asta & Styrmir's house. Nice house - with modern furnitures (I loved the glass tables and the music corner) - immediatly we felt we knew this house for a long time - The children loved the play room with a big cinema screen. Small charming garden with enough place for bbq, table, jacuzzi and sun deck - a lot of flowers. The location : 10min by car from the city center - and just 5min walking from the sea (nice walks and bike path) Asta & Styrmir gave us many tips for our holidays and we met very friendly neighbours. Our only regret : we did not meet them as we were traveling on the same day.
