Located on the slopes of Mount Fernie, 10 minutes from Fernie Alpine Resort, our home has a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, wireless internet, stereo/HiFi, washer/dryer, gas barbeque and a TV area. The private suite also has a full kitchen, sitting/TV area, washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

The house and deck overlook the Elk River, Fernie townsite and Fernie Ridge. The recently completed deck extension is completely covered and has outdoor stereo speakers, hot tub, gas barbeque, cooking burner, wood burning oven, eating island, food warmer, overhead gas heaters and a wood burning fireplace for relaxing evenings and entertaining all 4 seasons.

The house is located in a quiet mountain community, just minutes from town with access to extensive hiking trails, world class fly fishing on the Elk, Wigwam and Bull rivers. Fernie and nearby communities offer excellent golfing experiences and spectacular mountain scenery, alpine bowls, high ridges and abundant wildlife.

Skiing is only 10 minutes away at Fernie Alpine Resort (FAR) which receives on average 25 feet (8 metres) snow annually. Summer at FAR is excellent for mountain biking and hiking. Visit www.skifernie.com

Fernie is only a 3 hour drive from Calgary which travels along the scenic Cowboy Trail (Highway 22).

This is our vacation home so exchanges do not have to be at the same time.

We are open to travel destinations any time of the year for long weekends, 1 week and longer, up to a month.

Our Fernie home is available year round. We are open to shorter trips in North America for relaxing weekends. Italy, France, Spain and any place you can tempt us for longer periods.

Jim owns and runs an oilfield drilling-fluids company and Carol is a Chartered Accountant (retired). Winters in Fernie we downhill or cross-country ski, snowshoe & hike. Summers we fly fish, bike & hike.

We are open to adventure and new experiences so feel free to tempt us.
