Our Home
Our home is a large (approx 6,000 sq feet) comfortable detached house (circa 1880) with all the modern appliances that a busy family home needs. The ground floor comprises two large living rooms and a smaller room leading into a conservatory and the garden. There is a working fireplace and we frequently have a fire in the winter. Also on the ground floor are the cloakroom and kitchen/dining area, a utility room and a WC. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. It has doors onto the rear garden and we frequently eat outside in the summer. On the mezzanine floor between the ground and first floors is the study looking out onto the garden. On the first floor are two principal bedrooms with dressing room and en suite bathroom/WC and a further bedroom. On the mezzanine floor between the first and second floors is a bedroom and en suite shower. On the top floor are two further bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower/bathroom/WC and the second with independent access to the shower/bathroom/WC. The house is centrally heated. We have a garage and driveway at the front of the house. The rear garden, which is very large by London standards, is about 135 feet by 40 feet. We employ a housekeeper.
The house is a large and comfortable family home. It is often used for photographic and film shoots, and has been featured in many magazines.
Our Neighborhood
We are in north-west London, west of Hampstead (which is less than 10 minutes by car) and north of Notting Hill (which is the same). Local shops, restaurants, cinemas and theatres are very close. We are less than four miles from the very centre of London in a quiet residential and conservation area. There are excellent transport links. Travel into the centre of the city is most convenient on the Tube. The walk to the tube station (Jubille line) is 5 minutes and you will be in the very middle of the city in about 20 minutes. Any major attraction in the centre of the city, (museums, galleries, theatres, zoo, Buckingham Palace) is within 30 minutes. There is also a very good bus service within walking distance. One of our cars is an energy efficient Mini which is exempt from the congestion charge in the centre of the city. We are very well situated for journeys out of London with easy access to motorways; Windsor is about 45 minutes, Oxford about one hour, Cambridge about 1. 5 hours and Bath/Bristol 2 hours.

Other Information
We are close to Hampstead Heath which is great for walks and open air concerts in the summer. We are very close to Queen's Park which is great for children. Regent's Park is 10-15 minutes drive.

About Us
Terence is a barrister and Marian is an art director. We have four children: Beattie age 24, Cormac 22, Declan 20 and Brighde 18. We have a 2009 Prius a 5 seat automatic car and a Mini (seats 4) which might be available to exchange. We do not smoke. We have exchanged on more than fifteen occasions and have travelled all over the world. We have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience as, we believe, have our exchangers, some have become very good friends.
