Our house is a nice and sunny home,completely renovated. Full of character but modern at the same time - a two level building of 190 square meters with tiled and hard-timbered floors.

On the sunny south side we have a huge veranda, where you can enjoy your meals and breakfast with our homemade jam in summer. On the first floor you will find a spacious kitchen with all facilities you need. The dining room, which is a part of the kitchen is a kind of sun-flooded wintergarden. Additionally to the underfloor heating, our cosy living room can be heated with a open fire place.
Also on the first floor you find a guestroom and an additional bathroom with shower, washing-machine and drier.

On the second floor you find a big bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub and 3 bedrooms with balcony facing south to the famous Alps.

In summer you can enjoy a huge 1200 qm garden with lots of flowers, berries, kitchen herbs and small fish pond. Children can play with our ping pong table or soccer in our huge backyard. You also find a barbeque grill terrace and deck-chairs.
Sure we provide a list with necessary information (medical help, car service, good restaurants, travel info, etc. )

The Surroundings: Grassau is the ideal point for reaching all the cultural highlights of south Bavaria in a short time.

The village is situated in the south-east of Germany, close to the Austrian border, 8 km south of the Lake Chiemsee.
With a range of mountains in the direct surroundings which is ideal for mountain biking and hiking or just enjoying the nature, it will take you less than half an hour to go to the next skiing resort.

In our village you will find helpful hands who are open and pleased to meet foreigners. We are in the fortunate position to live in a calm housing area but very close to the village center. You can reach the center with shops, restaurants, beergardens(!), tourist information and a very old church within a 5 min walk. Our huge sports ground (training camp of famous soccer and athletic teams) is only 500m away. For thoses who play golf: 2013 an new golf ground will be opend 5 min walk to our house.

Grassau has the advantage of being a quiet village from where you can easily go to Salzburg, the reputated festival town, known by the movie "Sound of music" (45 min by car or train) or Munich (60 min by car or train). The famous beaches of Lake Chiemsee you can reach within 10 min by car or 30 min by bicycle. There you can rent a boat, visit the King Ludwig castle on the island, enjoy the sandy beaches, swim or surf or cycle around on separate cycle tracks.

We have a nice cat called Franzi, please feed her in the garden. No smoking inside the house.

We look for an 1-2 weeks Easter exchange 2013!!

Exchanges can only be arranged during Bavarian school holidays, that means: Easter, June, August, November, Christmas, but never July!

Open to any dates

As we live surrounded by mountains, our favorites are houses at the beach, lakes, ocean or with pool.

We love France, Italy, Florida and long weekend trips to the capitals of Europe
(Paris, London, Berlin, Hamburg, Stockholm, Rome, Copenhagen, Vienna . . . )

We are a family of four and we often, but not necessarily always, travel together. Christiane works in tourism and Tom is teacher. Our two children are 13 and 16 and they are very calm and polite.

We appreciate nature and a nice surrounding but we also love sightseeing, art, reading and sports.
Meanwhile we are experianced homeexchangers. We treat possessions of other people with care and respect and expect that from other exchangers too.
We love to meet foreign people and are open for new experiences. The exchange should take place simoultaneously.
