Astonishing old vicarage not far away from Barcelona city. Isolated in the top of a hill. Breathtaking views, from the terraces and windows of the house we enjoy all the beauties across the valley.
The house faces south and enjoys sun all day. It's attached to a church and a cemetery which still belong to the Catholic church but are no more in use, so we are happily alone in this amazing paradise.
Wide garden built in fences over the valley. Loneliness and radical privacy are some highlights of the place. Heated exterior swimming pool in working order from april to november.
The house is huge -around 700 meters on three storeys-, and has all charms of an old place together with modern comfort.
4 double bedrooms upstairs. Two ensuite, one has also a huge private living room.
Two living rooms downstairs, the winter one with a big fireplace and the summer one with a nice studio, home cinema and library. A good sized dining room leads to the kitchen which also has two eating tables (one for 2/4 persons, the other for 8/10 persons) . Two huge terraces both facing the nice view across the valley.
There is also a separate informal guest house in the garden: another double bedroom, a small bathroom and a living with kitchen. Ideal for teens...
An open air veranda with BBQ and a big eating table is ready for exterior meals beside the swimming pool.

| The Neighborhood |
The vicarage is settled in a protected natural area. Gentle hills and deep oak woods go down to the valley. We have very few neighbors, and none too closed. All them friends; only some farms where you can buy eggs and milk. But you'll be able to find every possible thing you need in our nearest village -4 km away- MOIA, which is a wealthy and very well kept place. The whole area is very rural yet enjoys a high quality of life. Good food and good wine, along with lots of cultural life, special in summer. Hiking, golf and riding possible; all pleasures of the nature, of course.
Barcelona city is only 60 km away, and the city of VIC -at 25 km- has a lot to offer: museums, old streets, an important cathedral and one of the most atractives open air markets in Catalonia.

A car is necessary. We can offer our 4/4 Land Rover freelander.
Definetly non smokers. Smoking could be OK in the garden provided the smokers are very very careful. The whole area is in high risk of fires, specially in summer.
We have had some bad experiences with kids and young people. Well behaved kids and teens will always be welcomed but we'll ask you to keep them under strict control -no shoes on the sofas, no use of the house electronics etc...- As the house is surrounded by wild country and the garden is built in fences, small children must NEVER be on their own (too many dangers).

WE WOULD LIKE TO FIND A SIMILAR HOUSE FOR A FAMILY GATHERING IN CHRISTMAS (we'd need 2 double rooms and 1 single. 2 bathrooms minimum). PREFER LONDON BUT TEMPT US! (no more than 3 hours flight)
Open minded, all sort of places provided they are not too touristy or at peak touristy times, please. We'll give priority to houses with similar standart.
If an exchange is not possible we could also consider to rent the place.
Our Barcelona city flat is always available. Possibility to combine both places in the exchange.
Rural UK always welcomed. We'd love to explore Cornwall...(an area we still don't know).

We are a couple in our fifties. Gustavo is an architect, I (Dolores) am a screenwriter and film director.
We have many children (two on my side, three on his side), but all them out of home (usually).
We are cultural oriented people and also love the pleasures of the nature. We prefer to avoid touristic crowds if possible.
