Completed in 2004, this 3, 000 square foot post and beam chalet is complete with 3 en-suite bedrooms, large deck overlooking the lake, and hot tub. The location is about 10 minutes from Whistler Village and the mountain by car or bus. You can see the top of Whistler Mountain from the house. The home overlooks Green Lake, with beautiful views of the mountains. In the summer, float planes land regulary on the lake, with flights to Vancouver and elsewhere available.
Most modern amenities are included in the chalet, such as radiant in-floor heating, top of the line appliances, large screen tv, surround sound, and internet access. The custom fireplace is wood burning, of course. In the winter, you can usually skate or walk on the lake, which is frozen over from December to April. Cross country skiing is also possible.

Besides a complete kitchen, there is also a barbeque on the deck equipped for all weather use. A washer and dryer are provided. Downstairs is a rec room and tv for children if you wish to be alone in the living room.

Located in Emerald Estates, on the shore of Green Lake, this property is in an exclusive area of multi-million dollar homes within the village of Whistler. It is quiet and secluded, yet close to Whistler and all of the amenities. An excellent grocery store is nearby, as well as other shops and restaurants.

The distance to the village and ski lifts is about 7 kilometres, and takes about 5 minutes by car. There is also excellent bus service near the home which takes one to the village and lifts.

In the winter, if you are not skiing, there are many interesting hikes, or cross country skiing in the area. Or simply walk or skate on the lake in the winter. Ski-do rentals are available nearby as well.

In the summer, there is biking, hiking, tennis, golf (5 excellent courses) , water sports, and many other mountain activities.

This is a seasonal home for us, so we are flexible with times, and can possibly meet and greet someone at the airport . We will exchange a 2007 Yukon Denali to responsible persons for a similar vehicle at the exchange home provided there is insurance coverage. No smokers in the house; - please feel free outdoors, and no pets. We are seeking exchanges for other similar quality homes, with people who will treat our home the way we would, and as we would treat their home.

We thought we had an exchange lined up for Melbourne in early 2014, but now we are not sure. We are keen on Melbourne during the tennis open in January. We would like a nice home exchange for Palm Desert, or Hawaii for November 2013. We also plan to be in France in June, and would consider an exchange there as well.
Please do not suggest exchanges for Sydney or the Gold Coast or Perth, as we are not looking there.

We are in our 50's one semi-retired and one still working, both in the real estate industry. Our children may or may not accompany us, depending on time of year and whether they can get away. We have done six exchanges before, to Sydney Australia, to France, Auckland and the Gold Coast, Tuscon and most recently to Perth. All were very successful. The childen came with us to Sydney, but not the other exchanges.

We are both non-smokers (other than the occasional cigar outside on the deck), and we have no pets. We enjoy cooking, music, and outdoor sports. We are avid skiers in the winter, and play golf in the summer. We spend most of the summer boating on the West Coast, so Whistler is usually available then.

We are also interested in hospitality exchanges, where we could show you around when you are here, and vice versa. We like to cook and entertain.
