Villa Rasilla, our second home in Serfaus, Tyrol, offers total retreat from hectic urban life in an unspoilt quiet corner of an otherwise buzzling resort. Its name tells of Rhaeto-Romanic times but its design is an exceptional contemporary interpretation of Tyrolean architecture. The house is ecologically heated and luxuriously but distinctly furnished. Villa Rasilla is designed to offer picturesque views on the surrounding mountains as well as all the amenities of modern living. It offers enough space (280m2) for 8 people, or two families as a three story house. A spacious living room (70m2) on the top floor invites you to enjoy cosy evenings at the open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven etc) and extensive dining area allows joyous meals together. In the level below you find four bedrooms with four king size beds and two bathrooms (shower, WC) . A third bathroom in the sauna area on the first level adds to the offer. Our two-level sauna and saunarium and a spacious rest room on that level is a special attraction of the house to warm you up after a cold skiing day in winter or occasional rainy days in autumn or spring. There you also find a washing machine and dryer as well as heating facilities for skiing boots. A large terrace and deck chairs invite you to enjoy both the winter and summer sun, which Serfaus is famous for. Situated at the edge of the village of Serfaus but with all the amenities of a popular tourist resort literally around the next bend, Villa Rasilla is within walking distance to the village centre. Summer in Serfaus (see for yourself: www. serfaus. com) offers extended Alpine attractions from hiking to rafting, climbing, canyoning, mountainbiking, and tennis. There’s an outdoor swimming pool in Serfaus and a little lake in Ladis. The mild and mostly sunny climate except for occasional rainy days (use the fireplace and sauna then) allow for total retreat into an unspoilt corner of nature. Our house is special in all weather conditions, since its particular architecture poses stunning views during thunderstorms as well. Watching clouds and fog moving up from the valley into the sky through the huge glass windows while enjoying the warmth and cosiness of the firplace is as special as getting a tan in the sun. There are ample jogging paths and walks close by. Due to Roman / Rheto-Romanic roots of the region Serfaus as well as the neighbouring villages Fiss, Ladis proffer historic and cultural sights as well. It is easily accessible (1 hour from Innsbruck! ) and close to Italy and Switzerland.
In winter Villa Rasilla is within a 3 minutes walk from a stop of the tube (no kidding! ! ) that takes you to the cable cars of Serfaus. The cable cars take you to a ski resort that offers 160 km of slopes, 53 lifts, 70km of artificially snowed slopes that guarantee skiing conditions, 111km for cross country skiing, 10 km tobogganing areas, snowboard fun parks, tubing parks, extensive areas for children and more. All rooms are equipped with Cable TV and Hi-Fi systems and there is a video recorder in the living room. It is furnished throughout with distinguished pieces of modern furniture. A huge fireplace adds to a cozy atmosphere in worse weather conditions. A computer and internet access in the study are at your disposal as well. Cleaning personnal can be arranged and you are welcomed at your arrival. A gardener looks after the lawn. We also offer sharing our Pegout Van when we exchange. Smoking is no problem, but preferred outside. Pets are not allowed, however.

We prefer houses with pool and direct access to the beach and usually want to stay for one week, at the end of sightseeing trips at long-distance destinations.
