It took us 9 years to find our cabin. We wanted something that could sleep a large family or a couple of families but we wanted a cozy feel. The home has been remodeled and provides for a relaxing mountain retreat. The master bedroom is large with a king sized bed. The other bedrooms are cozy and allow for storage. The lower den is a kids' favorite as it houses video games, a large TV and opportunities to watch movies. The main living area is warm and cozy with the fireplace and also looks out to the Winter Park Ski Resort. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a washer and dryer as well. We bought this property 1 year ago and furnished it with beautiful antiques as well as very nice new furnishings. It was a fun project!

Our 7800 square foot luxury home is located 20 minutes from downtown Denver and 20 minutes from downtown Boulder. The home is a ranch style that sleeps up to 16. There are two large master suites, one on the main floor and one on the lower floor. The home is wonderful for entertaining. It has a walk out basement, a fireplace in the courtyard, an outdoor fire pit, and 3 interior fireplaces, an amazing Chef's kitchen, and a 2 large great rooms. The use of our home allows one to experience all that Denver, Colorado (The Mile High City) has to offer as well as the beauty and experiences available in Boulder, CO.

You may choose to stay at one property the whole time (our cabin is easier to coordinate as it is our second home) or you can split your time between the city and the cabin if we can work the schedule out.

Our "cabin in the woods" is a spacious but cozy home located 20 minutes from the base of the Winter Park Ski Resort and 30 minutes from Grand Lake, CO. The home is located on over 1 1/2 acres of mountain land. The deck looks out to the ski resort and you can sit in the hot tub day or night and listen to music through the outdoor speakers. The stars are amazingly clear and it's peaceful. The home has 4 bedrooms and a pull out queen sofa. There is also an air mattress if needed. Our property is located 1 mile off of Highway 40 which leads to Winter Park, Hot Sulfer Springs if you'd like to enjoy natural hot springs, and Grand Lake where you can enjoy shopping, dining, boating, fishing, etc... Grocery stores are within 10 minutes of the home. There are fine dining restaurants very close as well as all of the winter and summer mountain sports that you can participate in. We have a primary home that is located between Denver, Colorado and Boulder, Colorado and also have a mountain property close to the Winter Park, Colorado Ski Resort. You could stay part of the time in Denver and experience the city as well as enjoy Boulder to partake in the nightlife, restaurants, hiking, and many more opportunities. You can spend the other part of the week in the Colorado High Country, skiing, tubing, riding on a horse drawn sleigh, and sitting in the hot tub to relax. In the summer you can ride horses, fish, boat on Grand Lake or neighboring lakes, mountain bike, hike, ride the alpine slide down the Winter Park Ski Resort, relax on our deck. Or, you can stay at one place the entire time. Both homes sleep at least 12 people. The Denver area home is almost 8000 finished square feet while the mountain home sleeps the same amount but it's more cozy at 2700 square feet.

We would allow the use of our vehicle if you'd like. We can set up maid service at both locations.

We do not allow smoking in either home.

We are hoping to travel during Christmas/New Years of 2012-2013. However, we would also like to consider destinations for the Summer of 2013.

We are hoping to visit Costa Rica and stay near the water (not inland) for 1 - 1/2 weeks. We have children so we'd like to be close to restaurants, water and villages but also close to the rainforest activities.

Chris and Carolyn met 10 years ago while training for a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Upon marriage Carolyn became a step-mom to Meagan (19) and Connor (15). We received the blessing of our two youngest through adoption. Blake is 6 and Makayla is 4. We love to travel and feel grateful that we can provide this opportunity to our kids. Our older two have been to a few places with us and we're now getting to the point of being able to venture out with the younger two. (both properties have toys for your kids to enjoy too).
We take pride in our homes and you will feel that when you stay. We continually update and they are clean. We can provide housekeeping at both homes during your stay if you wish. We can also provide a car. We also have people in both locations that can answer your questions during your stay.
We do have 2 dogs. A Chocolate Lab who is 2 and a Yellow Lab who is 10. We can arrange for them to be off the property (our primary home) during your stay.
