Our Home
My home has three bedrooms, and four baths on two levels. In two of the bedrooms, there are king beds with bathrooms en suite. The third bedroom has a queen bed and private bath. The house has an open floor plan with large windows allowing views of Gore Creek, which runs at the bottom of the property. Across the creek is a large forest preserve with grazing deer and elk in summer, and ice climbers in the winter.
The living room has a fireplace, flat screen TV and DVD player. There is also wireless in the house. Off of the living room is a sliding door that leads onto a large deck with a barbecue and comfortable outdoor dining and lounging. A wind sculpture spins in the breeze.
The dining room seats 8 and there is an eating counter adjacent to the kitchen that seats four. The kitchen has gorgeous granite counters and all the necessary cooking and dining supplies. There is a three-quarter guest bath downstairs, as well as a mud room with washer and dryer.
It is always a pleasure to sleep with windows open to enjoy the sound of the creek running by. The location is in a unique neighborhood with free bus access to the Village, which is about 5 miles west.
Our Neighborhood
Vail, Colorado, is one of the most spectacular cities in the U.S. The Tyrolean village is charming, featuring great restaurants, art galleries and unique shopping. It features year-round activities. Skiing in Vail is legendary, as this is the largest ski area in North America with every imaginable terrain. In addition to Alpine skiing, there is cross country skiing, snow shoeing and nearby snow mobiling. There is even more to do in the summer: golf on spectacular courses, hiking thoughout the Vail Valley, fishing on Gore Creek, the Eagle and Colorado rivers, and both mountain and road cycling. There is a paved trail that meanders along the creek and goes for miles. This is an outdoor paradise.
