Charming, typically Quebec-home in the the lower Laurentian Mountains with beautiful view has three finished floors. Two large fireplaces and hardwood floors throughout, there are lots of windows to enjoy the natural beauty outside. Furnished with many antiques from Colonial days in Quebec, this is a cozy, comfortable and inviting home.

King-sized bed in Master bedroom and double bed in 2nd bedroom. The guest room has a big comfortable daybed for one with a second single bed rolled underneath. The 3 bedrooms upstairs have central air conditioning for hot summer nights.

Our large terrace with beautiful views has a big barbeque, 2 chaises longues, hammock, outdoor table & chairs, parasol and a screened-in enclosure with retractable roof to keep out the insects (more an issue in the spring than the summer), and an electric heater for cooler evenings. It's great for outdoor dinners. We have a private tennis court and a big, fully enclosed trampoline will please kids, young and old.

We also have a big three-bedroom, two-bathroom duplex in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighbourhood of Montreal, a quick walk to metro stations Villa Maria and Snowdon. This may be included in an exchange and also allows us to do non-concurrent exchanges. Both of our homes are non-smoking.

Maison charmante du style canadien a 3 étages. Située dans les Basses-Laurentides, on a
une vue époustouflante. Deux grands foyers et planchers du bois franc partout, il y a beaucoup de fenêtres qui donnent un bel éclairage. Nous avons plusieurs antiquités d'antan typiques de la région.

Il y a un très grand lit (King) à la chambre de maîtres, un grand lit à la deuxième chambre à coucher et la troisième CàC a un lit gigogne (un lit simple pour une personne et un deuxième lit simple qui se cache sous le premier). Il y a de la climatisation centrale aux trois chambres à coucher pour les nuits d'été.

Notre grande terrasse a un barbecue deluxe, 2 chaises longues, un hamac, une table avec six chaises, une ombrelle, un abri moustiquaire avec un toit retractable et une chauffrette électrique pour les soirées fraîches. C'est parfait pour dîner dehors. Nous avons un terrain de tennis privé et un trampoline qui est enfermé pour se sentir en sécurité.

Nous avons aussi un appartement (haut de duplex) avec trois chambres-à-coucher et deux salles de bain à Montréal (voisinage Notre-Dame-de-Grace). C'est cinq minutes de marche des metros Villa Maria et Snowdon. Il pourrait être inclus dans un échange et ça nous permet de faire des échanges non-simultanés aussi. Nos deux maisons sont non-fumeur.

Our home is in picturesque Morin Heights, the cross-country ski capital of Quebec and home of 3 luxury spas, all within 5 minutes of our house. We are 7km (4.5 miles) from St-Sauveur, a very popular tourist destination with many very fine restaurants and boutiques and a very popular arts festival in early August which offers many free, international music and dance performances. There are also shows which require purchased tickets.

We are 10 minutes from Ste-Adele, another popular tourist town. We are 5 minutes from 4 downhill ski centers and Mont St-Sauveur is a very large water park in the summer months. We are 5 minutes from a small beach on the Simon River (great for small children as the water is fairly shallow and there is a play area with swings and slides there too) and 5 minutes to the aerobic corridor for cycling, jogging & walking (or cross-country skiing in the winter).

Friendly neighbours speak English and French. A trip to Montreal is only 45 minutes south by car and the Laval metro stations (with free parking and underground trains into downtown Montreal) are an easy 30 minute drive. World-famous Mont Tremblant ski and summer vacation resort is just 45 minutes to the north. This is truly a 4-season vacation center.

Nous habitons Morin Heights, un village pittoresque, capitale de ski de fond de Québec et lieu de trois spas de luxe, tous moins de 5 minutes de chez nous. Nous sommes situés à seulement 7 km de St-Sauveur, un village touristique très populaire ou se trouvent beaucoup de très bons restaurants, boutiques et aussi Le Festival des Arts (le mois d'août) qui offre plusieurs spectacles de musique et de danse gratuits. (Il y a des spectacles payants aussi).

Nous sommes situés à 10 minutes de Ste-Adèle, une autre ville touristique populaire. Il y a quatre centres de ski alpins à 5 minutes de chez nous incluant Mont St-Sauveur qui est un très grand parc aquatique en été. Il y a une petite plage sur la Rivière-à-Simon (parfait pour les petits, car l'eau est peu profonde et il y a une aire de jeu avec balançoires et toboggan). En été le corridor aérobique est un lieu idéal pour les randonnées pédestres, de vélo et du jogging.

Des voisins amicaux parlent anglais et français. Un voyage en voiture à Montréal va prendre 45-50 minutes ou il y a le Metro à Laval (stationnement gratuit et trains sous-terrain qui vous amènent directement au Centre-ville de Montréal) à 30 minutes de chez nous. Le très célèbre Mont-Tremblant, destination vacances d'hiver et d'été est seulement 45 minutes au nord en voiture.

We have a quiet cat who will require daily feeding. He stays outside most of the time. Ours is a non-smoking home.

We are a small, bilingual family. Catherine is originally from Toronto, is a French - English translator by profession. Marc hails from the Montreal area and is co-owner of a brokerage specializing in packaged goods. Julia is 16 and when she's not at home or at school, she's probably at the stables riding her beloved horse Whisper. She also plays basketball and football, she's a downhill skier and she goes regularly to the gym to train. Marc is an avid cyclist and we all enjoy skiing, skating, roller blading, swimming and other outdoor activities as well as fine cuisine, good wine and shopping (Catherine and Julia's domain).
