We have a large, beautiful home on top of a mountain in the countryside of CT. Our home is Adirondack stye, private, and quiet. We have 3 outdoor fireplaces; 1 on one of the numerous porches, 1 on our sleeping porch, and one by the pool. We also have a half basketball court overlooking a beautiful view. We are 1.5 hours from NYC, 3 hours from Boston, and 5 hours from DC. We offer a great opportunity to visit the cities and then come home to quiet and outdoor activities. Or you can also skip the cities and just enjoy the outdoor activities. In Winter we are close to downhill skiing, skating, cross country skiing, snowmobiling etc.

Our house is in a very quiet area on top of a mountain. Kent, CT is a small, quaint New England town with a cultural legacy because of the numerous galleries in town, the Litchfield Jazz Festival and the amount of writers who live in the area. Many New Yorkers are weekenders in Kent because of the culture and beautiful landscape. There are many places to hike, bike, swim, ski, and skate.

Open to any dates

We're interested in weekend, nearby exchanges such as Boston or DC. However, what I'm most interested in is having my children experience living in a different place.

We are Lisa and Bill and we are very busy with our businesses and family. We have 6 kids: Billy(16), Tyler (14), Clay (12), Jake (10), Austin (5) and Alexa (2). We love outdoor activities, such as downhill skiing, hiking, biking, swimming etc. We have animals, but we would make sure that they were taken care of during an exchange. Currently, we have 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 geese, 6 pigs, 6 turkey and 30 chickens. We have the animals away from the house so it doesn't smell and you do not feel like you live in the middle of a farm. However, if you have kids, I'm sure they will love looking at our animals. Enjoy fresh chicken and geese eggs daily!!
We would love to give our children the opportunity to live somewhere else for a few months, but really need to do this between Jan. - March. We are not set on any one place, so if you're interested in something like this, please suggest your location.
