Our house is 100 years old and very charming. At the same time it is completely renovated and functions as a mordern family home. It is a pretty large house - about 350 square meters - 4 stories including a full basement and a loft. We have a total of 11 rooms in the house - 5 of them are bedrooms.

Our fenced garden is approximately 900 square meters with a big lawn and terrace - ideal for family fun and BBQing. The street we live in has speed reduction and is only used by people who live here. The children play football on the street and play with skateboards etc.

The house and the local town of Hellerup is unique for its proximity to the city center, it only takes 15 minutes by car or subway and you're downtown Copenhagen. At the same time you are very close to nature: the sea, charming ports, several parks and the forest. The sea is a five minute drive away.

The house itself is newly renovated. We have a total of 11 rooms + 2 bathrooms in the house. There are 5 bedrooms. We have a modern open kitchen to the dining room, living room with TV and fire place and a library. On the first floor we have a big parent bedroom and 2 children rooms with single beds. n the basement we have have a bedroom with a Kingsize bed and a teenage room as a bathroom. On the 2nd floor - the loft - there is a double sofa bed.

We have two children aged 3 and 13.

The house is ideal for a family who wants the proximity to the big city buzz and at the same time tranquility and peace.

Hellerup, which is the name of our suburb, is a very nice neighborhood with affluent middle/upper class families. We have a mainstreet with selective fashion and jewellery shops, book store, banks, cafes, hair dressers, beauty salon and other specialty stores. We also have various restaurants, supermarkets and selective food suppliers in and around the town. The area is Copenhagens local Beverly Hills where many people aspire to live. It's safe, quiet, clean and nice. People here are very friendly and speek English very well.

Our house is a 20 minutes walk from the sea - 5 minutes by car. The beaches streatches all the way up north along the coast of Sealand. By car or bike you can go looking for your favourite spot to enjoy the sea and nature all year round. Take a car trip on Strandvejen, recognized as one of the most beautiful routes by the international magazine, Wallpaper. Or enjoy a lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants in one of several charming ports along the coastline. If you prefer the forest, you can go to Dyrehaven and look at the many wild deers - the old hunting grounds of the Kings. You can even see the lille castle used by former Kings.

From our house, you can walk to the local railway station in 5 minutes. From there you can get on the subway and reach to the city centre of Copenhagen in about 10 minutes and enjoy all the cultural sights of the danish capital. You can also take the train directly to the main airport of Copenhagen.

Preferably arrangements for cleaning services after the exhange should be made.

We are looking for family homes - suitable for also a small child. We are searching for locations close to both nature and big cities.

We have already arranged our summer vacation for 2013.

We are a family of 4: Father Claus (48), mother Helle (46) and two boys: Rasmus (13) and Peter (3). We also have an au-pair living with us - right now from the Phillipines. Both parents are self-employed consultants - in management and PR, respectively.

We have two cats (Tim and Tom) that live in the house as well as a rabbit. Preferably the cats at least should be allowed to stay in the house.
