Our direct beachfront condo is located in the tropical North Shore beach town of Punalu'u, on the island of Oahu. The beach you are seeing in the photos is the beach fronting our condo. The view from our condo lanai is the view you see in the photos. The condo is air-conditioned. Step onto the beautiful sand beach fronting our condo complex any time you feel like a swim, snorkeling or stroll along the shore. We provide snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers and beach towels. I enjoy cooking so the condo has a well equipped kitchen. The beds are both queen-size (no couch beds or futons) and very comfortable with foam mattresses.

The ocean waters of Punaluu are a vibrant turquoise blue. The extensive reef ecosystem surrounding Punaluu is great for snorkeling. The off-shore reef system fronting our beach offers an abundance of colorful fish, turtles and reef life.

There is free on-site parking for 1 vehicle. We have an on-call housekeeper that will provide you with additional housekeeping services at a reasonable fee if desired.

Punaluu is approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu and Waikiki and is reminiscent of the Hawaii of by-gone days that so many visitors hope to find when traveling to Hawaii. Punaluu is lush, green and very tropical. It's a sleepy little beach town along Oahu's north-eastern shore.

We are located about 20-30 minutes from famous beaches such as Pipeline, Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay, where the big wave pro-surf contests are held each winter. Our ocean waters are quite swimmable in winter, unlike many other north shore beaches. Punaluu is known for its beautiful turquoise waters and calm swimming conditions year around. The snorkeling is wonderful due to an expansive reef system that extends out about 300 yards. There is a beautiful beach and sand-bottomed swimming area fronting the condo. There are rarely more than a handful of visitors to our beach. There is an oceanfront pool and workout room, and a BBQ area for guests.

If you are seeking a beautifully updated and furnished, well-equipped condo for one or two in a totally relaxed, laid-back tropical country setting, this is the place.

After purchasing this condo we did a total remodel to the unit. The condo is 525 sq ft and is extremely well appointed with great amenities provided to our guests. There are two sleeping areas. There is a wall bed in the living room (queen size) and another queen size platform bed built into a more private sleeping area around the corner from the living area. There is a full size washer/dryer, ocean front/beach & ocean view lanai with table and chairs, well appointed kitchen with granite counters. There is all-custom cabinetry and built-ins throughout the condo. We have a stereo, wi-fi, two flat screen TVs with DVD, DVR, HBO and premium cable package. There is a large library of music and films to choose from, an iPod dock and a library of visitor-related books on-hand. There is free, on-site parking. If you choose to not rent a car, the condo is located along public transportation lines (bus stop is in front of building).

The condo is set-up with vacationing in mind. We do not keep our personal items onsite.

We must limit guest count to two in total. We consider this an adult unit, unsuitable for small children.

We will provide in/out housekeeping service. We would appreciate the same be provided for our part of the exchange.

We do not need a simultaneous exchange, this is a 2nd home.

We are especially interested in exchanges to all other Hawaiian Islands, especially the Big Island, Lanai, Molokai and Kauai. We are also interested in all areas of California.

We are Deborah, an artist and designer, and John, an attorney. We live part-time in Hawaii and part-time in California.

We purchased this condo as a nearby retreat for our visiting friends and relatives. We sometimes use it as a second home getaway for ourselves. We have a larger 3 bedroom beachfront home nearby and offer that for exchange as well.

I am from Hawaii and consider Oahu to be the most interesting island to visit. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii, along with great shopping, dining, entertainment and excellent golf nearby at Turtle Bay Resort.

Our adult children (25-32, all professionals, respectful and responsible) will occasionally be the exchangers for this property. Unlike our other exchange (link below) we can offer this property during summer and holidays. We can also exchange to ski areas, unlike our other property.
