This does not feel like a "rental" but a perfectly appointed home. It is furnished with all the essentials and comforts of a primary residence to allow for a perfect stay. Our Architecturally designed, shingle style home has large windows opening up to a lagoon and on to the Cougar Point Golf Course. The kitchen, dining and family room are all open to each other and out to a terrace and screened porch (with screens on all four sides!). There is a large master suite (king bed) on the upper level with a bath and open shower surrounded by windows on three sides. There is another bedroom on the upper floor with private bath that sleeps 4 (twins). Halfway down, there's a "ping pong room" that also has a day bed with trundle. On the main, there is another "master suite" with its own bathroom with a 5'x5' shower stall.

Our Architecturally designed home overlooks a large lagoon and the Cougar Point Golf Course designed by Gary Player. Kiawah's famous ten mile long beach is only 500 meters away, along a bike path, with no roads to cross. It is located in one of the more established neighborhoods on Kaiwah. Once you park you car, you will never want to use it again with all of the bike paths and trails. The path just 50' from our home goes directly to the beach or on to the 30 miles of bike paths Kiawah has to offer. Go to www.KiawahResort.com to find out more about our island.

We're open to your suggestions and, since this is a second home, we're flexible with our dates! In the past four years, we've found there are some REAL benefits for NOT trying to do simultaneous exchanges. They require way too much luck and/or coincedence, but, I know that happens too. Our home on Kiawah is fantastic (as is our primary residence in Asheville, NC). We have great references. We expect yours will offer the same experience

Since this is a second home, we are very flexible as to dates. We are avid bikers and walkers so nice weather helps.We are NOT big on travelling anywhere in peak times. Prefer "off-peak".

We spent 6 months travelling Western Europe with our two younger kids (our older daughters met us in London and Ireland). While there, we realized we are happy in any town we are in. Your home must have great location, character and provide a unique experience. We are open to your suggestions! We just did 5 weeks in Eastern Europe last summer (2010) including a wonderful home exchange in Prague and added another 3 weeks when a family from Paris offered a very attractive home to exchange. EVERYONE had a great experience. This Home Exchange thing has been GREAT! We have already set on a week in Amsterdam and Copenhagen this summer.

We love this home and have furnished it thusly. We built this home back in 1990 (I'm an Architect) but just finished an extensive update. It is the perfect place for a family to get together or a romantic getaway for a couple or to be by yourself or all of the above. Our family is well travelled and will be as considerate of your home as we expect you will be of ours. We also know that you will love it as much as we do.
