Built in 1903, the 3-bedroom house was renovated by an award-winning Californian architect in 2009. Inside's modern with spacious windows throughout bringing the sunshine in and letting you see the green garden-city which surrounds us. Immediate downtown views from huge master bedroom deck. Professionally landscaped garden with gas-burning fire pit. Henry Street is one of the smaller, more coveted streets in San Francisco. We love our house and you will too.

San Francisco has many mini neighborhoods. We live in a fun, centrally-located area called "Duboce Triangle" nestled among the more famous Haight-Ashbury, Castro and Mission districts of San Francisco. Happily, our house is in a sunny part of the city, so it's far warmer here than elsewhere in the city and is within walking distance of many restaurants, parks, landmarks and events. Within a block there's a cafe, sushi restaurant, French bistro, 2 corner stores and weekly farmers market. Public transportation along multiple street car lines makes everything in the city super accessible - a car isn't really necessary and we bike often. This is a great place from which to get to know San Francisco!

Beyond San Francisco and accessible for day trips are Sonoma and Napa wine countries, Stinson Beach & Muir Redwood Forest, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Carmel and Monterrey. Surf to ski in 3 hours!

This is our primary home. We have a second home in Bonny Doon, Santa Cruz, so exchanges need not be simultaneous. We might be interested in exchanging that property as well; photos available upon request.

Like extended weekend getaways, close to San Francisco. For trips overseas, 10 - 14 days would be the minimum.

Open to any dates

Interested in local exchanges in California or Hawaii for extended weekends always. Central & South America is a draw, or we could be tempted further away to the East Coast states for the summer. Always excited about Italy or Croatia. Close to the ocean and/or with pool is ideal.

Open to other offers around the world as well. We are fine with hosting you sooner at our place and then "banking" our visit for the future.

We're a gay couple with two daughters. Jared is a landscape designer, and Ragnar works in corporate relations. Sommer is 7 and Lauren's 3. Mr Pickles is a goofy dog, but he would stay elsewhere while you're here.
